Good ambience. Decent food. Fair price.

I enjoyed my visit to Chill Out Cafe! I had a bowl of their Tom Kha and I enjoyed it. I had never seen tomatoes or carrots in this dish from any other Thai restaurant before, but I enjoyed the flavors of this addition. The calamari was deliciously crunchy. Our whole table ordered bubble tea but unfortunately they did not have enough boba left, as it was the end of the day. The thai tea and coffee was delicious regardless. I would come here again, and I hope to try their breakfast soon!

Had a great lunch. Really cute and chill as the name suggests. I was a bit skeptical because I was in Thailand this summer and thought it would be Americanized, but the service and flavor was really authentic. Will be back for sure

Free street parking in a quiet, adorable neighborhood. The service was quick and friendly. The kitchen was accommodating when I asked for my pad woon sen to be cooked with less salt (medical reasons). The restaurant itself was clean and also had multiple indoor and outdoor table options. I thought the wrap around porch was really adorable for outdoor seating. This neighborhood was a welcome break from the busyness of the rest of New Orleans.

Very solid Thai cooking, on a lovely porch in thoughtfully designed environment. Great place for watching people in this relaxed and pleasant neighborhood. Take the St. Charles streetcar out here and walk over, then appreciate the original Thai artwork on the bright blue walls. Relax your eyes on the copious trees, think curry, close with a wonderful creamy mango sticky rice.

Tucked away house restaurant that makes me feel right at home when walking in. I’ve been there 3 times in 2 weeks. I love their thick massamun curry and their vegetarian fried spring rolls are amazing!!! There is an ingredient I have yet to put my finger on that really separates their rolls from others but it is indeed a pleasant one. A great place to go out on a neighborhood date day or night. Make sure you ask for Pat!!!

I’m usually a google review lurker, but this place is so amazing I had to share. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and walked by this place many times but have never dined until yesterday. In a city with so many trendy restaurants, it is easy to overlook this place at first, but don’t be fooled. My partner and I decided stopped in to check this place out and had an EXCEPTIONAL meal! We sat on the patio which has the loveliest energy and is decorated in a way where you can really tell someone put some love into opening this place. We had a Thai tea and iced coffee, a seaweed salad, a squid steak, crab fried rice, and the garlic shrimp. Everything was delicious, but the squid steak and crab rice were out of this world. Super fresh and generous portions. Everything is priced so reasonably! Our food was a little slow coming out, but there was just one waitress and we weren’t in a rush so we actually enjoyed being able to relax outside and just enjoy the atmosphere. This place has a lot of heart and soul in the food and location, and was a lovely departure from some of the heavier dishes/cuisines NOLA is known for. Will definitely be coming back!

Chill Out is a super unassuming and authentic Thai place in this small NOLA neighborhood. We had some of the best Thai food we’ve ever had here, so you can’t go wrong with the pad thai or pad ped curry. Their calamari is also by far the best I’ve ever eaten, we couldn’t stop eating it! And if you make a stop, you really have to order their thai iced tea, it’s unbelievable.
